Small Moments Studios had the pleasure of shooting Kat and JP’s wedding this past Friday. We’ve been looking forward to their wedding, especially after their great engagement session… Kat and JP just have such a classic feel to them.
Make-up was done by Christine at Color Make-up Studios… she does such a great job of creating an elegant and natural look… and hair was done by Salon on the Hudson at the Thayer Hotel. We started off at the Thayer and then headed over to St. John’s in Mahopac for the beautiful ceremony. After that we headed back to West Point to enjoy the rest of the evening at the Thayer. Kat’s dance with her father was to “Somewhere Over the Rainbow”, and I’ve decided that has to be the song I dance to with my youngest daughter on her wedding day. And then we heard “Dream a Little Dream” and I realized I had to dance that song with my oldest on her day. Okay, they’re both under 4 years old, so I’ve got some time…

Dear Ryan –
You were such a joy to have sharing our day. No matter what was happening, you were there insuring that each moment was documented for us to share now, and for Kat and JP to share with their children and grandchildren some day. Somehow, you captured not only the visual images, but the magic and emotion as well. When I turned around and saw you lying on your stomach in the church, capturing the shot of her “I DO” shoes, I knew I could let go of my concern that something would be missed and just enjoy the day.

I love the pictures so much! You did such a fabulous job… when will we get to see the rest??? I can’t wait and I wanna order so many of them!!

I love all the pictures, but one of my favorites is one of the last of the night (the last one in the post)… the look on their faces is one of pure happiness… like “wow, it’s over… now we can just BE”. That’s the kind of look I love!
