For the adventurous bride, Small Moments Studios offers our FINALE Trash The Dress session. Some brides might want to truly trash their dress, or, as in the case with Jen, some brides might opt to make it more of a fun celebration. There was no tearing or burning of the dress or any water involved in this session… just a bride, her dress, good friends and a Yankee game.
Jen, who you might remember from her wedding blog post, wanted to do something different, and so, being a huge Yankees fan, she decided Yankee Stadium had to be the location for her FINALE. She got three of her bridesmaids to don their dresses and join her in all the fun.
On your wedding day, all eyes are on you… same goes if you’re running around Yankee Stadium in a wedding dress (or bridesmaids dresses for that matter). We did get to go to areas that would normally require special tickets and lots of money… the girls got on the Jumbotron… they were all celebrities for the night… which would make me the paparazzi. Oh, and to top it all off, the Yanks beat the Red Sox…
Thanks for another memorable night, Jen (and Allison, Caroline and Dana, of course). Let’s do it again next year, shall we?
So… to all my brides… where will you wear your dress next?
We had such a good time with Kawana and Isaac at their wedding. When I first met Kawana, she explained that they were doing some things a little differently at this wedding. They are a very spiritual couple, and celebrating their marriage went hand in hand with celebrating God. They had praise dancers and they even had a religious comedian perform… oh and of course, they opted for our SPOTLIGHT photobooth, which was great as usual (some posts from that will be up over the weekend). Nick Nishizaka was shooting with us again at this wedding, and he got a number of really great shots… Nick will be joining us at a fair amount of upcoming weddings as we begin wrapping up 2010 weddings (and look towards 2011.)
All in all, we had a great time at the Surf Club… here are some teasers of the big day!

Had a great time running Small Moments Studios SPOTLIGHT Photo Booth at Fran & Bobby’s wedding. Everyone was so energetic and hilarious! It was tons of fun. Can’t wait for the next one. Everybody should have one of these at their wedding. So far, every single SPOTLIGHT we’ve done has been a huge hit. The guests love it! It gives them a chance to just be themselves in front of the camera which makes for some fantastic moments. Thanks for another memorable wedding Fran & Bobby.
January and Peter were bundled up in coats and hats for our engagement session at Bear Mountain this past winter… we almost didn’t recognize them when we saw them this time around… dressed up and ready to celebrate their marriage. The day went perfectly and everyone had a great time. Oh, and I must say, best speech ever by the father of the bride. We started the day off at Salon S in Northvale… pictures continued at January’s Aunt’s house and then we headed to a beautiful park in New City. From there we headed over to Congers to the wedding venue.
As usual, it was another great wedding at Town and Country in Rockland… and Action Entertainment kept the party going all night long. Seriously, if you want a DJ that’ll get everyone up and rockin’, you’ll want Jonathan or any of the other DJs from Action Entertainment.
Here are some teaser pictures from January and Peter’s day… video highlights soon to come. Keep in mind, the picture below of just the guys… that was totally unposed. I walked around the house and they were all just standing there talking, perfectly placed. And one of my favorite pictures is the shoe shot… and the shot of January and Peter with the brick wall, as well as the one of them in the middle of all the guests and it looks as though everyone is reaching for them. Don’t remember how that image came about… all I know is, I think it’s all sorts of awesome. Enjoy!
We just shot Fran and Bobby’s engagement pictures a couple of weeks ago, and here we are at their wedding blog post… it was a great day with a great couple. And I would, of course, be remiss if I didn’t mention the bridal party… they definitely put the word “party” in “bridal party”. Fran and Bobby opted to have Small Moments Studios awesome SPOTLIGHT photobooth at their wedding, and it was a great addition as always. Ceremony and Reception at the always lovely Villa Borghese in Wappingers Falls… Below are some highlights of the whole day. Enjoy! My favorite pictures below are “the dip” and the kiss on the shoulder through the leaves. I’m looking forward to hopefully working with them again for one of our FINALE trash the dress sessions. To quote Fran, “I’ll trash the dress… but not the shoes!”

October weddings are almost here… we’ve got a lot of weddings to tend to! Most of you have seen posts of all of the engagement sessions… we’ve only got two more engagement sessions left for 2010 brides. Here’s an engagement session from Julie and Mike from back in June… they’ve only got a month to go… they got the famous “10/10/10″ slot. Those dates go fast… I’ve already booked 11/11/11 and I’ve got people requesting 9/10/11 also.
Julie and Mike make such a nice couple… very down to earth and very much in love. We had fun at their engagement session, and I’m really looking forward to seeing them next month as Small Moments Studios captures their big day! Stay tuned… you’ll be looking at their wedding photos before you know it!

Everyone remembers Rafaela and Ben, right? This is one man who knows how lucky he is and he has pledged his devotion to his wife with true sincerity. Small Moments Studios shot their wedding at the Villa Borghese and it was beautiful. Small Moments Studios spent a couple of hours with Stacey and Paul this Labor Day, shooting their engagement session, as their October wedding is coming up quickly! This is a fun, goofy, awesome couple and their personalities are great. Maybe the best part of the day was that I learned a new word… “Fubby”. It stands for “Future Hubby”… I think Stacey will be slightly upset about having to give up using this word after their wedding…
Here are some pictures of the fun. This couple has a great “serious” look, but you can only get that for about 2 seconds before they’re laughing and making faces… their chemistry definitely comes through…

Another fun engagement session… Small Moments Studios had the opportunity to spend time with Christine and Jonathan. They recently moved to Rockland County from The City… Christine wasn’t necessarily wearing the right shoes for the walk, but the best line of the day came when when we reached an overgrown area we were going to go through… Jonathan attempted to go first and clear the way, but Christine just pushed on through… Jonathan said “You go, Brooklyn!”.
I had lots of fun with this natural, relaxed couple. Looking forward to their big day in October! Now we’ve only got another three engagement sessions left for 2010 couples… then we’ve got another 14 weddings to shoot in our 2010 season!
