October Madness: Small Moments Studios Wedding Photography

Filed under Weddings • Written by Ryan @ 11:57 pm

October has been busy as usual… two more blog posts coming soon from weddings this past weekend… here’s a quick tease in anticipation of the teasers (a tease of the teasers… maybe I’m starting a new trend).

Here’s one from Friday with Marie and Steve:

and here’s an image from a wedding that Keith and I shot for Kelly and Dan on Saturday…

More wedding images from both of these weddings later this week, along with an engagement session post or two…

Be well!

Karen and Mike: Falkirk Estate and Country Club Wedding Photography and Videography

Another great wedding at our favorite venue… Falkirk Estate and Country Club is such an awesome place to get married, and Karen and Mike are a perfect couple.  There were freshly planted flowers… the weather was great, and Matthew from Falkirk, along with his crew were on hand to make sure everything ran smoothly.  The band was rockin’ (and by coincdence, they’re the same band we saw the week before… The New York Showband featuring Tommy Flynn).  You can see a picture of Tommy amongst the images below.

Here are some teasers from their wedding… more to come to the facebook page, so become a fan!  And congratulations again to Karen and Mike!

Thanks!

Seth & Jess Engagement: Chateau Hathorn Wedding Photography

Another great engagement session… Seth and Jess, a very cool couple… and they’re getting married at the Chateau Hathorn next month (we’ve been there before and it’s a very cool venue).  So we had a lot of laughs during the engagement session and I’m looking forward to the wedding.  Check out some teaser images below!  Again, this is our secret engagement shot location upstate… okay, so it’s not too secret, but it is awesome.

Michelle and Adam: Westchester & Rockland Wedding Photography

Michelle and Adam… great couple (I only work with the best),  tons of fun, great bridal party, had us laughing all day.  It was truly an awesome day… and we were joined by Melissa from Events by Missy & Company.  Melissa kept everything running smoothly throughout the night.  The wedding took place at Traveler’s Rest in Ossining… they have lovely grounds (and bacon wrapped everything, so that’s always a plus).  The rain only stalled us slightly, but we kept going and got some great images of Michelle and Adam’s special day.  And there was some pretty awesome breakdancing later in the night (no, not by me)… check out some of the images below…

Be well.

Another fun engagement session… this time with Kristin and Bobby at one of our favorite spots… check it out!  We’re looking forward to their wedding in July of 2012 at The View on the Hudson, another venue we love working at.  This was definitely a fun day with a great couple, and I’m sure their wedding will be more of the same.

Enjoy some teasers from their engagement session!

Megan & Chris: Dutchess Manor Wedding Photography and Videography

Filed under Weddings • Written by Ryan @ 10:27 am

Megan and Chris were married last week at Dutchess Manor… a venue that we’ve shot at numerous times before… always a great party.  We met Megan and Chris last year at Kat and JP’s wedding and we’ve been looking forward to this wedding since then.  It was a fun day with an awesome bridal party… I mean, c’mon, we all ran into the middle of the road to take a picture… not everyone will risk their lives for you like that!  One of the other things that we did special at this reception was to put together a same day slideshow showing off pictures from earlier in the day.  It was great to see everyone looking through the images and commenting.  And we also showed a slideshow that Megan and Chris created (I think it was more Chris’ creation)… we brought out our projector and put it up our big 90″ screen… it went over very well.  And the band… the band was awesome… The New York Showband featuring Tommy Flynn.  We ran into them this past weekend at another wedding as well… if you’re Irish and you want a band, you need these guys.  They play all that stuff, plus they can rock out to The Rolling Stones as well.  Tommy Flynn knows how to rock.

Enjoy these teasers from the wedding.  We definitely enjoyed capturing them!

Jessica and Jason Engagement Session: New York Country Club Wedding Photography

Filed under Engagement • Written by Ryan @ 12:18 pm

Jessica and Jason are getting married at the New York Country Club in April of 2012, and though that seems a ways away, I know it’ll be here before we know it.  New York Country Club weddings are always fun and we’re looking forward to shooting both the photography and video for them.  This is a fun couple and here are some of their images from their engagement session.  Check back later for more!

Enjoy!

Lindsey & Ryan Engagement Session: Falkirk Estate and Country Club Wedding Photography

October is always a bit hectic for us to say the least… it’s the peak wedding season for us, and we’ve also got a lot of engagement sessions scheduled in any of our rare non-wedding days.  So on one of those non-wedding days, we spent some time with Lindsey and Ryan… they’re getting married next year at Falkirk Estate and Country Club in Central Valley… our most favorite-est  wedding spot around.  Here are some images from their engagement session… enjoy!  So check back in May for Lindsey and Ryan’s wedding pictures… and stay tuned to the blog as always… a lot more on the way!

Be well,

-Ryan.

…this makes me laugh… you all are great… we truly love all of our couples.  Thanks again, Kat and JP!

Brianne and Joey: New Jersey Wedding Photography

Filed under Weddings • Written by Ryan @ 7:07 pm

We headed out to the Jersey Shore for Brianne and Joey’s wedding… the forecast was for rain, so we were a little disappointed that we wouldn’t be able to get shots on the beach and we assumed they’d have to cancel the bonfire later on that evening… well, the rain held off for the most part, and the ceremony and pictures were all done outside on the beach, as was the bonfire.

So already you can tell this is a great wedding, right… I’ve mentioned the beach and a bonfire.  There was a mashed potato station and pulled pork sliders, and c’mon, you can’t go wrong with that.  And at the bonfire there was a guitar jam session with the boys… and a sing-along to GnR’s Patience… which was pretty killer.  Well, it was definitely a great day with more than a few scattered bits of pure awesomeness throughout.   I already did a quick post on The Rainbow shot we captured… here are more images from the wedding… and if you want to see even more images, check out the Small Moments Studios  facebook page… we’ll be posting more later.

Mother of the bride told me a story… she asked that the sun shine down on her daughter as she walked down the aisle.  I’ll tell you what, it was an overcast day, everyone was walking down in the shade… the bride steps up with her father (Here Comes The Sun is playing) and all of a sudden, the clouds part and the sun shines down.  Everybody was taken aback, and the videographer turned to me and said “now I’m not a religious man, but did you see that?!”  Add to that the full rainbow that came later… there was definitely some sort of presence.

So many great moments in the day… so much fun.  Oh, and the Small Moments Studios SPOTLIGHT photobooth was killer as well.  Thanks and congratulations again Brianne and Joey!  Keith and I were honored to be a part of it all.

Be well,

-Ryan.
